This model replaced a ten year old KitchenAid that was the worst disappointment of my appliance purchasing life. We've had this one about a month and it's produced us understand the KA didn't work right from the starting. We're pleased with the Whirlpool. This baby washes dishes in about half an hour though drying takes longer, but the KA took two hours. It heats the water superbly; a comforting cloud of steam wafts out when the door is very first opened, and the dishes are too hot to deal with. The best portion is the fact that even with an extended warranty, the entire factor expense about half of the price of the miserable KitchenAid. (More Detail...)
